Adhere to Dudley Council’s policy on corporate identity and represent the council accordingly by wearing correct uniform at all times

About the Swimming Instructor Position- if you're qualified with L2

 

Be responsible for the deliver of a quality swimming programme as laid down by the ASA National Teaching Plan and as directed by Sport and Physical Activity Section

To support, supervise and mentor Aquatics Assistant Teachers / Teachers and volunteers where appropriate

Cover colleagues swimming lesson where required

Requirements for both swimming instructor posts

 

A Nationally recognised ASA teaching qualification at the appropriate level
Must be able to work evenings, weekends and public holidays
Regular attendance of training sessions is compulsory to ensure you retain the qualification
Attend staff training when required by the Centre Manager
Carry out any other duties commensurate with the salary grade and responsibility of the post

    On clearance to work (DBS, references, rights to work and qualifications) You will then be invited to Dudley Leisure Centre to complete pool side training and show around. This part of the induction is paid for.

    We can then offer you work as a recreation assistant from this point. As long as you keep up to date with the monthly training put on at Dudley Leisure Centre, you will keep being offered suitable work.
